Fortune uncovers secret way to buy Ripple’s red hot XRP

In case you needed to know

Ripple (XRP)

Ripple’s XRP token isn’t a real object but if it were and if one were to get a pile of them and a nice camera, this is what it would look like (via Shutterstock).

Wanna buy Ripple’s XRP, the cryptocurrency that has rallied nearly 19,000 percent in 2017? Just follow these super simple steps:

  1. Open an account on Bitstamp, Kraken, or Gatehub.
  2. Fund the account.
  3. Use that account to buy XRP.
  4. Get a job as a writer for Fortune.
  5. Ask yourself, “How can we do an online post that will kill it on SEO?”
  6. Say, “I have an idea! Ripple is hot right now. We should write a piece called, ‘This Is Your Guide to Buying Ripple’ but don’t put anything of substance in it.”
  7. Write the piece with very little substance, other than noting that maybe one day Coinbase might allow people to buy XRP.
  8. When posting the piece, make sure no one copyedits it properly so that no one catches that you wrote “let’s” instead of “lets” (see below).

Copyeditors? We don’t need no stinkin’ copyeditors! (screenshot of Fortune.com’s “This Is Your Guide to Buying Ripple” by Robert Hackett.

  9. Sit back and wait for your advertisers to thank you for the increased traffic.
  10. Oh, and you now own some XRP.
